MTS has set the standard for dynamic materials testing, and offers multipurpose load frames as well as test systems for specific applications such as biomedical, geomaterial, and elastomer testing.
Acumen® Electrodynamic Test Systems
With force capacities up to 12kN or down to milli-Newtons, these clean and quiet systems can extend energy-efficient electrodynamic testing to many applications. The system’s intuitive visual displays and software graphics simplify test setup, monitoring and modification, and the sturdy design delivers high precision and accuracy.
Landmark® Servohydraulic Test Systems
From complex thermomechanical fatigue studies to standard tension and compression tests, MTS Landmark systems deliver accurate, repeatable results. Robustly manufactured with SureCoat® technology that extends actuator rod longevity 10x over conventionally chrome-plated rods, these systems will perform reliably for years.
Bionix® Tabletop Test Systems
These servohydraulic test systems deliver the performance, versatility and accuracy required to properly characterize the dynamic and static properties of an extreme range of biomedical materials and components. When combined with a wide range of grips, fixtures, and orthopaedic sub-systems, they provide capabilities from static testing to complex kinematic studies of skeletal tissues and orthopaedic constructs.
Series 311 High-Force Test Systems
Ultra-stiff, four-column servohydraulic load frames, dynamically rated to deliver loads ranging from 1 to 30 MN. Higher capacity load frames and unique features can be custom engineered to order.
Series 819 High-Rate Test Systems
High-rate dynamic tests are used to simulate automotive accidents, airplane crashes, munitions explosions and other high-impact events. These stiff, durable load frames and high-response servohydraulics apply forces from 5 to 500 kN (1 to 110 kip) and achieve velocities from 1 to 21 m/sec (39 to 830 in./sec).
Planar Biaxial Test System
Critical for characterizing complex design structures, components, and orthotropic and anisotropic lightweighting materials, these systems are used to perform mechanical tests for the transportation, power generation and civil engineering industries.
Polyaxial Rock Test System
The MTS Polyaxial Rock Test System replicates conditions that impact oil well integrity. Through this system’s advanced modeling capabilities, energy companies will be able to extract larger quantities from current reserves, and improve access to more difficult to reach reserves.
Model 815 and 816 Rock Mechanics Test Systems
The MTS Model 815 and 816 rock mechanics test systems deliver exactly what geological materials experts need to work with confidence: fully integrated solutions that can be configured to test all types of rock in both basic and highly complex applications. Designed to test everything from soft sandstone to high-strength brittle rock, these systems combine versatile servohydraulic load frames with precise digital controls, flexible software and specialized accessories for uniaxial and triaxial testing.
Series 322 Test Systems
With multiple actuator position options and a second load train mounting position, this T-slot table test system can be configured for a wide variety of applications. Ideal for testing components and sub-assemblies.
Series 809 Axial/Torsional Test Systems
Apply simultaneous axial and torsional loads and displacements to a wide array of specimens. This highly versatile test system is capable of everything from static testing to multiaxial fatigue characterization and offers superior stiffness for increased accuracy.
